We show that these methods can produce significantly better results as compared to an informed baseline. These strategies are not constrained by in-domain annotations, rather they leverage pre-existing monolingual annotated resources for training. In order to do that we are in the process of helping our partner NGOs use our curriculum and refresher modules.Abstract In this paper, we propose efficient and less resource-intensive strategies for parsing of code-mixed data. Our past experience has also taught us that constant career counseling, refreshers training and confidence building workshops must go on. We are in the process of bringing on board a few corporates from the retail & hospitality industry to partner with us who share our ideology of вЂempowering live to provide sustainable livelihoodsвЂ™. We have identified missing links in the chain that limit opportunities of employment for the urban poor community and are continuously engaged in skill development training sessions and curriculum. It is our endeavor to empower this segment of our population to have access to means of livelihood as well as personality development training. This we have identified as the вЂmost integral & most required skillвЂ™ when seeking employment and enhancing employability. Not only are they faced with these problems but the biggest hurdle they hit is the power to understand or to communicate an overall impression their body language has on prospective employers. Most of the slum clusters belong to migrant population and they donвЂ™t have access to education, health care & training opportunities as a result they remain unemployed. It was during one of these programs that we identified the need to provide skill based training to the beneficiaries from the age groups of 16 to 28 years of age. We constantly engage with grassroots level NGOs working in the area of education and health through need based programs.

The volunteering program is open for national, international and corporate volunteers. Joining Hands offers individuals, students and working professionals the opportunity to take part in volunteering by using their skill sets. It helps students and individuals identify their area of interest and also ensure that placements are made in credible NGOs. The volunteer management program is focused on bridging the gap between a volunteer and an NGO. Joining Hands focuses on maintaining a customised framework for volunteering to make it a more meaningful experience. Joining Hands sensitizes and encourages students and individuals to engage in volunteering/ internship opportunities in the space of education, health, environment, and income generation. Since its inception in 2006, Joining Hands has sought to facilitate and encourage volunteering in IndiaвЂ™s social development sector. Joining Hands was founded to address the needs of both these sections of society by facilitating their coming together to move towards greater progress of the social development sector.
